Janet Forester
Janet Nala Forester is a Luritja speaker, who began painting in the late 80's with the Jukurrpa (Dreaming) group base in Alice Springs.

Janet paints the dreamings from Ernabella and Maryvale, which were told to her by her mother, Owadwi and her grandparents.

Her work was included in a major exhibition of the Jukurrpa artists at theAraluen Arts Centre in 1989 and in several subsequent shows (including Desert Dreaming, Grand Hyatt, Jakarta, 1992).
Since then Janet’s works have been widely exhibited and collected both nationally and internationally.

In 1997 International Art Biennale, Janet was awarded seventh place for her painting “Bush Banana Dreaming”.
She has featured in the Australian Time Magazine, New York Magazine, and the Australian National Gallery.
