Philip Taylor
Philip works almost exclusively in Graphite, or Artist Quality Coloured Pencil on full sheets of heavy weight (HP) watercolour paper. He treats Graphite as a medium in itself rather than a basic drawing tool. The works are highly detailed and completed in numerous layers of fine dots applied with the point of extremely sharp pencils, mainly in the hardness range of 6H to HB. His full sheet figure works can take up to a hundred hours to complete. They are framed to the highest archival and conservation standards available.

Principal Exhibitions:
Philip is currently represented in the Wide Bay by ‘Wide Bay Gallery’ Maryborough, ‘Murray Charteris Gallery,’ Hervey Bay and in Maroochie by ‘Lasting Impressions’ Kenilworth.
He has held solo exhibitions in the ‘Old Warehouse Gallery’ Maryborough and ‘Gallery Athena’ in Greece. He has also participated by invitation in the annual ‘International Artists of Paros’ Exhibition held in Noussa Greece.
